Group therapy is a form of treatment in which a small group of clients meet regularly to share and explore feelings and behaviors in a safe, supportive environment. Group counseling offers clients an opportunity to share viewpoints and learn different coping strategies from others facing similar issues.

Group therapy can include support groups, skills training groups (such as anger management or social skills training) and psycho-educational groups.
